LIVE UPDATES

HIT F5 TO CHECK FOR NEW BLOG UPDATES

In the event of severe weather, we will begin LIVE coverage on our Facebook page. Make sure to tune in for the latest.

6:25pm It's beginning to look like the activity we saw near Frankfort earlier could be the worst anyone sees tonight. The cap is holding strong over western portions of the viewing area, which is not allowing any storms to form and become severe. A few storms still could develop later this evening, but the threat for severe weather seems much lower than it did before.
5:40pm A small cluster of non severe storms have formed in North Central Kentucky near the Frankfort area. These storms are currently capable of producing heavy rain, lightning, gusty winds, and possibly small hail. No warnings have been issued yet but I will be sure to post them if they are issued later this evening.

4:55pm We have the first signs of storm development right along the Ohio River near Harrison County, Indiana. This storm is not severe at the moment but as the evening goes on warnings will likely be issued. Keep checking back for updates on tonight's severe weather event!

2:36pm .... Latest Satellite image is showing development out to the west. Need to watch this area for thunderstorm development over the next 1-2 hours. Would not be surprised to see a Mesoscale Discussion issued for a possible weather watch for our area over the next few hours.
