Heavier snow is on the way! Latest LIVEView HD Doppler Network is showing the area of moderate-heavy snow expanding and pushing to the southeast. The area in which I have circled looks to me, where the potential of 2" or maybe even an isolated 3" mark may exist. This is something to be closely monitored over the evening hours.
The forecast still looks to be on target. Snow bands now moving back into Jackson, Jennings & Lawrence Cos., in Indiana. This activity will move off to the southeast over the next several hours. Look for snow to cover all of southern Indiana after 6:30pm then effecting the Louisville Metro after 7:00pm. Roads may become slick and hazardous in spots after 8:00pm ET. Southern Indiana will be the first area of impact then followed by Kentucky as the colder air will take longer to move in.
Here is our enhanced radar view showing the heavier bands of snow moving back into southern Indiana.
