Still looking at a 1-2 inch stripe for most of the forecast area. Here is the latest.
Radar is showing a moderate band of snow from Tell City through Salem. This activity will move to the east through the morning hours. It will likely cover the ground with snow!
Out of all of the computer models, I think the NAM has a handle on things. The higher snowfall totals east and north of Louisville.
What's Chris Think?
Notice I have taken Louisville out of the 1-2" range. I think the best chances for the higher accumulations will be north and east of the Louisville Metro area. Most areas though should range around the inch range.
What to Watch?
We will need to watch the latest radar trends through the day for any heavier snow bands that may occur. Any heavier bands may result in higher totals in your localized area.
When to Expect?
Snow is starting now in the west portions of the area and should push east through 1:00pm EST. It will be scattered through the afternoon and increasing in coverage.
